The venerable Mohamed Sathak Trust is a Charitable trust established in 1973. Mohamed Sathak Engineering College (MSEC) was entrenched by Mohamed Sathak Trust in 1984 and it holds the glory of first self-finance Engineering college in Tamil Nadu state (G.O. Ms. No. 1088, Education dated 21.08.1984). This institution was uprooted with 3 Programmes and it gradually elongated into 13 Undergraduate and 9 Postgraduate Programmes all Approved by AICTE and Affiliated by Anna University, Chennai. The Marine Engineering programme is approved by Director General of Shipping (DGS) and Architecture programme is approved by Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi.
Glorious Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakarai, has 38 years of existence and been the leading-edge Institution of higher technical education in this region. Our ultimate aim is to intensify students as globally competent technologists and exerts with the primary objective of providing quality education through meritorious long term value creation.
We are obliged to ensure quality education to our students. Our institution is accredited by NAAC and NBA and it is an ISO 9001-2015 certified institution. Apart from curriculum-based studies, the emphasis is made on the promotion of innovation-driven projects, interaction with industries, soft skills personality development, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. In the recent ARIIA ranking, we are holding the rank band of “Performer” among the participated Institutes all over India. We have also secured 3 star rating in IIC rank.
